To deeply participate in the global value chain and enhance competitiveness amid regional and global integration, THACO AUTO has continually researched and produced products that meet the customization demands of each market. In 2024, the Group exported nearly 1,200 vehicles, generating revenue of $13 million.
Building on this success, on the first working day of the Lunar New Year 2025, THACO AUTO exported 120 Kia Frontier trucks (Middle East), 400 painted body kits of Kia New Carnival (India), and 45 Peugeot Django 150cc motorcycles (Cambodia). These were manufactured on advanced production lines at THACO AUTO's production complex in Chu Lai, meeting the stringent standards of Kia and Peugeot.
Among the shipments, 120 Kia Frontier K2500 trucks were exported to the Middle East, a completely new market with high-quality standards. The products were upgraded with spacious cabins, different utilities, and superior safety features such as anti-lock braking systems, and airbag sensor systems, providing optimal cargo transport solutions for customers. This shipment begins THACO AUTO and Kia’s plan to expand their truck market.
Additionally, 400 painted body kits for Kia New Carnival continued to be exported to India, affirming THACO AUTO's production capabilities and reputation. Furthermore, 45 Peugeot Django 150cc motorcycles with European style, meeting Peugeot Motorcycles global quality standards, were exported to Cambodia, elevating the brand's position in the mid-range and high-end scooter segments.
In 2025, THACO AUTO aims to supply nearly 4,200 vehicles to markets such as the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Oman, the Middle East, Jordan, Cambodia, and more. The Group will focus on increasing exports of new THACO-branded buses and trucks, as well as international brand passenger vehicles as per partner requirements. It will also expand into other potential markets.
To achieve these goals, THACO AUTO emphasizes big investments in R&D activities, researching new product trends, customer demands, and the traffic infrastructure conditions of each market. The Group continues to invest in automation technology and accelerate digital transformation at its factories to optimize production efficiency. Moreover, communication activities are strengthened through the development of online channels, especially a website dedicated to international markets, providing comprehensive product information to customers easily.
